BSR Stars – Mobile Vikings Pilot
The Mobile Vikings pilot project is about joining strong clusters and innovation milieus within Telecom/mobile applications into new ways of innovation activities.
The purpose of this pilot project is to leverage the industrial strongholds within the sector by implementing new methodologies and tools. The idea is to build from the needs and strongholds of the main industrial players within the sector and to capture ideas about future markets, technologies and societal mega trends into future scenarios that will result in new products and services.
The pilot project will experiment on how new innovation policies such as open innovation, open source, demand and user driven innovation can be implemented in cooperation between innovation milieus in the Baltic Sea Region. Activities and methodologies that will be used are test beds, where demand driven tool as innovative procurement will be tested. Developer communities will be invited to co-create on the test beds. SMEs will be involved in sharing the innovation activities.
Some of the objectives for the pilot project are to:
Define a long term research and innovation strategy that considers the above mentioned methodologies
Test new methods and tools in the partnership to address sense-making, open innovation , technology test beds/platforms etc
Identify the most promising grand potentials using new tools and methods in the telecom/mobile application sector in the Baltic Sea Region
Develop and test exiting and new Business to Business Telecom/Mobile Communication solutions with a focus on efficient communication in the Baltic Sea Region
